Switching On or Off the Instrument

Shock hazard
Observe the basic safety instructions at the beginning of this manual, especially
the instructions on electrical safety.
4.1

Instrument States

The LEDs on the on/standby key indicate the current state of the R&S ETC (see also
chapter 2.1.1). The following states are possible:
● Off
The AC power switch on the back of the R&S ETC is switched off (see chapter
2.2.1).
Both LEDs on the on/standby key are switched off.
● Ready
The R&S ETC is ready for operation.
The green LED (left LED) on the on/standby key is illuminated.
● Standby
The R&S ETC is supplied with the operating voltage, but is not ready for operation.
The yellow LED (right LED) on the on/standby key is illuminated.
Shock hazard
In standby mode, the R&S ETC is still power-supplied.
