Switching Off the Instrument

Risk of losing data
If you switch off the running R&S ETC using the rear panel switch or by
disconnecting the power cord before shutting it down, the R&S ETC loses its
current settings. Furthermore, program data may be lost.
Always shut down the R&S ETC first.
Switching Off the R&S ETC
1. Press the on/standby key on the front panel.
The R&S ETC saves the current settings to the internal memory and shuts down the
operating system. During this process, a message may be displayed.
The power supply is switched over to standby and the yellow LED on the on/standby
key is illuminated.
2. If you want to completely disconnect the R&S ETC from the AC power line, set the
AC switch on the rear panel to the O position, or disconnect the R&S ETC from the
AC power supply.
All LEDs on the on/standby key should go out.
Danger of shock hazard
In standby mode, there is still AC supply voltage present in the R&S ETC.
