R&S ETC
Establishing the Connection
1. Make sure that the R&S ETC and the computer are switched on.
2. Connect the R&S ETC directly to the computer with the supplied USB cable. For
details on the USB see chapter 2.2.6.
In the "Network Connections" window of the computer, a new LAN connection is
displayed with the R&S ETC device name.
If connected for the first time, the wizard for finding new hardware appears on the
computer screen.
3. If the wizard is displayed, the software for the new hardware must be installed:
 Select to install the software automatically and confirm with "Next".
After a few seconds, the wizard indicates that the software for the new hardware
has been installed.
 Complete the installation with "Finish".
4. On the computer, start the R&S ETC View software.
5. In the "Instrument Connect" dialog, select the "USB" tab.
The USB connection is preconfigured and cannot be modified. The USB connection
is established using a predefined IP address.
6. Select the R&S ETC connection.
7. Click "Connect" to establish the connection to the R&S ETC.
