Installed Software
The firmware and the operating system are already installed on the R&S ETC.

7.1
Operating System
The R&S ETC is equipped with the Windows CE 5.0 operating system.
When the R&S ETC is delivered, the operating system is configured for optimum
operation. Changes to the system settings are required only if you configure the network
and the settings do not conform to the default settings.
Risk of causing instrument unusability
To prevent malfunctions and to avoid instrument repair, only install service packs
approved by Rohde & Schwarz.

Additional Software
Risk of causing instrument unusability
The R&S ETC is equipped with the Windows CE 5.0 operating system. The use
and installation of additional software may impair instrument function. Thus, run
only programs that Rohde & Schwarz has tested for compatibility with the
R&S ETC software.
The programs used on the R&S ETC under Windows CE 5.0 have been adapted
to the R&S ETC. Existing R&S ETC software must always be modified using only
update software released by Rohde & Schwarz.
