Connecting External Devices

The R&S ETC supports a wide range of external devices.
3.3.1

Memory Stick

You can exchange data by using a memory stick which you plug into the USB interface
on the front panel, for example to perform a firmware update. For details refer to the
release notes.
3.3.2

Accessories

A wide range of accessories are available for the R&S ETC. The R&S ETC supplies and
controls the accessories using the ACCESSORIES or AUX connector. If the AUTO
ACCESSORY DETECTION setting is activated, the connected accessory is
automatically detected.
Setting the Accessory Detection
1. Press the SETUP key.
2. Tap INSTRUMENT SETUP.
The R&S ETC opens a list of general settings.
3. Under HARDWARE, select AUTO ACCESSORY DETECTION.
A submenu opens.
4. Select ON/OFF to activate/deactivate the automatic detection of accessories.
If the connected accessory is detected, the item is displayed in the DETECTED
ACCESSORY field under HARDWARE.
