Networks without DHCP Server

In a network without a DHCP server, assign a fixed IP address and subnet mask to the
R&S ETC.
Contact your network administrator to obtain a free IP address.
Changing the IP Address and Configuring the Network Protocols
1. Press the SETUP key.
2. Tap INSTRUMENT SETUP.
The R&S ETC opens a list of general settings.
3. Deactivate DHCP:
a. Under LAN PORT, select DHCP MODE.
b. Select OFF.
4. Set the IP address:
a. Under LAN PORT, select IP ADDRESS.
b. Enter the IP address (e.g. 172.29.26.63).
5. Set the subnet mask:
a. Under LAN PORT, select SUBNET MASK.
b. Enter the subnet mask (e.g. 255.255.255.0).
6. For LAN connections with firewall, set a default gateway address:
a. Under LAN PORT, select GATEWAY.
b. Enter the gateway (e.g. 172.0.0.1).
