Setting Up the Instrument

To avoid physical injury to yourself or others, always follow the instructions
provided in the following chapters. Furthermore, observe the safety instructions at
the beginning of this manual.
1.1

Unpacking the Instrument

The R&S ETC is shipped together with its mandatory accessories in a cardboard box.
To unpack its contents, proceed as described in chapter 1.1.2.

Inspecting for Shipping Damage

Check the following. If anything is damaged, immediately notify the carrier.
1. Check the shipping container and cushioning material for damage.
2. Unpack the box and check the housing for visible damages or loose parts.

Unpacking the Box

1. Open the cardboard box.
2. Remove the accessories box from the packing.
3. Remove the polyethylene protection pads from the R&S ETC.
4. Take the R&S ETC out of the packaging.
5. Remove the protective foil from the screen.
