USO DEL VEICOLO
Per partire, disinnestare completamente la
frizione, tirando la leva verso la manopola.
Quindi abbassare il pedale del cambio con
decisione ma senza strappi, per innestare la
prima velocità; rilasciare poi, lentamente, la
leva della frizione e contemporaneamente
aprire il gas gradualmente.
Dopo aver percorso qualche metro innestare
la seconda velocità nel modo seguente:
chiudere il gas, disinnestare la frizione ed
alzare il pedale del cambio sino a fondo
corsa, quindi innestare la frizione ed aprire il
gas. Ripetere la stessa operazione per
innestare le altre velocità.
Per innestare le velocità inferiori, invertire gli
spostamenti del pedale, disinnestando
sempre la frizione prima di innestare la
marcia, e chiudendo il gas solo parzialmente
in modo che il motore acceleri quando si
stacca la frizione.
Ricordare che alzando il pedale del cambio,
si innesta una marcia più alta e che
abbassandolo, invece, si innesta una marcia
più bassa.
Per arrestare il veicolo, azionare il cambio
sino ad arrivare alla prima velocità ed
impiegare i freni; mettere poi in folle.

RIDING OPERATIONS
To get under way, fully disengage the clutch
by depressing the clutch hand lever. Then
push shift lever down firmly but gently to the
end of its travel to engage low gear. Release
the clutch lever slowly and, at the same time,
open the throttle gradually. Engage second
gear after the motorcycle has run a few yards
as follows: close the throttle, disengage the
clutch and lift the gear shift lever up to the
end of its travel. Then engage the clutch and
open the throttle gradually. Repeat the same
operation to engage the other gears.
To shift to low gears, reverse the shifting of
the gear shift lever, disengaging the clutch
completely before each gear change, and
only partially closing the throttle so that the
engine will not drag when clutch is again
engaged.
Remember that by lifting shift lever up, a
higher gear is engaged; by pushing down the
gear shift lever, a lower gear is engaged.
When stopping, operate until low gear is
reached, use the brakes, and shift to neutral
position.

MISE EN ROUTE DE LA MOTO
Pour mettre en route la moto, débrayer
complètement en tirant le levier
correspondant; ensuite, baisser la pédale
des vitesses de sorte à passer le premier
rapport; relâcher doucement le levier et
donner le gaz de la même façon.
Après peu de mètres, engager la deuxième
vitesse de cette façon: fermer le gaz,
débrayer et lever la pédale des vitesses
jusqu'à fin de course; ensuite, embrayer et
donner le gaz.
Répéter la même opération pour engager les
autres vitesses.
Pour engager les vitesses inférieures,
renverser les mouvements de la pédale, en
débrayant toujours avant d'engager la
vitesse, et en fermant le gaz partiellement de
façon à accélérer le moteur pendant le
débrayage.
Se rappeler qu'en soulevant la pédale,
s'engage une vitesse plus haute; tandis
qu'en la baissant, s'engage une vitesse plus
baisse.
