Calculation sheet for determining path
Make a sketch of the desired path, and use it as a basis to fill in the desired figures
in the table below. The roof or wall te rminal itself is not counted in the calculation.
Number of vertical metres :
Number of horizontal metres
Number of metres at angle 45°
Number of elbows till 45° : ...... x 0.5 metre per elbow
Number of elbows till 90° : ...... x 1 metre per elbow
Use to calculate the following values :
Total resistance length (1)+(2)+(3)+(4)+(5)
Total vertical length
Total horizontal length (2)+(4)+(5)
Vertical minus horizontal
With the figures calculated above, and based on the table below, you can check if
the path you have laid out is permissible or not, and calculate how the restrictor
plate inside the unit needs to be positioned for optimum operation.
