3.4.
Gas Connection
Connection to the gas line is made on the right-hand side of the gas regulator hous-
ing underneath the unit.
Check that the type of gas and the gas pressure correspond with the specifications
on the specification plate.
An approved gas cock must be installed in the gas line as close as possible to the
unit in a place that is always accessible.
No strain must be remaining when the connection is made.
Check that there are no gas leaks in the line (using e.g. a soap and water solution).
For lines up to +/- 10 m, 3/8" G pipe or copper pipe of 10/12 diameter is sufficient.
For more than 10 m, use ½" or copper pipe of 13/15 diameter.
3.5.
Installing the remote control
The unit comes equipped with a remote control module that allows you to switch the
main burner on and off, and continually adjust the flame height.
The system works on batteries and does not require any external power source.
•
Connect the electrical wires to the receiver and the gas regulator by means of
the plugs. Reversal is not possible: the plugs are different.
•
Place the batteries in the sender (handset) and in the receiver (black box; simply
remove the cover).
•
Place the receiver on the holder to the left of the gas regulator housing under
the fireplace. Be sure that the detection opening and the red lamp are facing
forward.
Now, whenever the "ON" or "OFF" button on the handset is pressed, the red lamp on
the handset and the receiver will come on, and the gas regulating knob on the gas
regulator will turn to the left or the right until the operation is completed .

Placing the imitation logs
3.6.1. Positioning of the burner
If it has not yet been done, first remove the box containing the imitation logs from
the combustion chamber.
Watch out!! The logs are fragile. Handle them carefully.
Check that the burner is correctly posi-
tioned and has not shifted during transport.
The burner sits loose on the bottom of the
combustion chamber, supported at the
back by the injector housing, and on the
left and right at the front by the mounts on
two appropriate legs. See figure for correct
positioning.
