6 Commissioning
The bus coupler may only be commissioned with the entire
system in which it is installed.

Contact the system manufacturer if you want to commission
the bus coupler.

Commissioning for the first time

Damage due to uncontrolled device movements!
The bus coupler and other system parts may be damaged by
uncontrolled device movements.

Commissioning of the bus coupler may only be carried
out in a pressure-free state.

Making presettings

The following prerequisites must be fulfilled:

The transfer rate must be set the same for all DDL modules.
W
The addressing conditions of the DDL must be fulfilled.
W
The DDL configuration must be set and tested.
W
The terminating resistor after the last DDL participant must
be connected.
Setting the DDL address
A DDL address does not need to be set on the DDL bus coupler
(see also "Setting SERCOS III address (2 variants)" on page 64).
For the DDL to function properly, the following addressing
conditions must be fulfilled:

DDL address from 1-14, starting at 1, without gaps, no
address assigned twice
DDL address 0: see DDL system description
