Maintenance and repair work must be carried out by an
authorised service centre, the Wilo customer service, or
qualified personnel!
Maintenance and repairs and/or alterations to the
construction which are not listed in this operat-
ing and maintenance manual or which may impair
explosion protection may only be performed by
the manufacturer or by authorised service cen-
tres.
The spark-proof gaps may only be repaired according
to the manufacturer's design specifications. It is not
permitted to carry out repairs according to the values in
tables 1 and 2 of DIN EN 60079-1. Only the screws
stipulated by the manufacturer, fulfilling at least a
strength class of A4-70 may be used.
Risk of death due to electrocution!
There is a risk of fatal injury from electric shock
when working on electrical equipment. For all
maintenance or repair work, the unit must be
disconnected from the mains and secured against
being switched on again without authorisation.
Damage to the power supply cable may only be
rectified by a qualified electrician.
Note the following:
• This manual must be available to and observed by the
maintenance staff. Only maintenance work and main-
tenance measures described in this manual may be
carried out.
• All maintenance, inspection and cleaning work on the
device must be performed with the greatest care by
qualified personnel at a safe workplace. Proper protec-
tive clothing is to be worn. Before carrying out any
work, the machine must be disconnected from the
electrical system and secured against being switched
on again. The device must be prevented from being
switched on inadvertently.
• When carrying out work in basins and/or tanks, the
respective local protection measures must be observed
in all cases. A second person must be present for safety
reasons.
• Lifting devices in perfect technical condition and offi-
cially approved lifting gear must be used for lifting and
lowering the device.
Make sure the lifting gear, wire rope and safety
devices of the lifting device are in perfect wor-
king order. Work may only commence if the lift-
ing device has been found to be in a technically
sound condition. If it is not inspected, fatal inju-
ries may result!
• Electrical work on the device and the system must be
carried out by a qualified electrician. Defective fuses
must be replaced immediately. These must never be
repaired! Only fuses for the specified electric current
and of the specified type may be used.
• If flammable solvents and cleaning agents are used,
naked flames and smoking are prohibited.
• Devices that circulate fluids that are hazardous to
health or come into contact with such fluids must be

decontaminated. In addition, make sure that no gases
that are hazardous to health form or are present.
If injuries are caused by fluids or gases that are
hazardous to health, apply the first-aid measures
specified on the notice at the working premises
and notify a doctor immediately!
• Make sure that the necessary tools and materials are
available. Order and cleanliness ensure safe and smooth
work on the device. After finishing work, remove any
used cleaning materials and tools from the unit. Store
all materials and tools in their proper place.
• Operating fluids (e.g. oils, lubricants, etc.) should be
collected in suitable containers and disposed of prop-
erly (in accordance with the EC Directive 75/439/EEC
and provisions of sections 5a and 5b of the German
Waste Act). Always wear appropriate protective cloth-
ing when performing cleaning and maintenance work. It
is to be disposed of in accordance with the German
Waste Code TA 524 02 and EC Directive 91/689/EEC.
Only the lubricants stipulated by the manufacturer
may be used. Oil and lubricants may not be mixed.
• Use only original parts from the manufacturer.

8.1 Operating fluid

Operating fluids marked with "*" are approved for use
with foods in accordance with USDA-H1!
