7.5 TRIMMER BELT REPLACEMENT
WARNING
Eliminate the pressure from the installation by discon-
necting the safety valve and locking it with a padlock,
then setting the main switch to 0 (zero), locking it with
a padlock.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
• Verify the belt tension after the first 10 hours of machine
operation.
• Once a month, inspect the condition of the belt.
• Do not overtighten the belt as this will overload the bea-
rings.
Excessive belt tension also causes it to stretch and deteriorate
quickly.
To replace the belt, proceed as follows:
• Remove rear cover A (Fig. 62), removing screws B.
Loosen the screw C (Fig. 63), using key D, so that the belt E
(Fig. 63) is free of tension.
To remove the belt, take it off the lower pulley F (Fig. 64) and
remove it from the machine through the space left between
the pulley G (Fig. 64) and the lower counter support H (Fig.
64).
WARNING
Do not dismount the counters under any circumstances.
To replace the belt, follow the diagram I (Fig. 65) engraved on
the base of the trimmer.
To determine whether the belt tension is correct, make sure
that there is 12 mm of distance between the tightening rod J
(Fig. 65) and support K (Fig. 65).
Once this distance has been verified, reinsert the screw C (Fig.
63).
