§5.11 - The platform LOWERS very slowly, when the function LOWER is actuated.
• HTL is badly greased, the pins seize up in the articulation bearings.
• HTL is deformed in one of the articulation points (pins or bearings).
• One of the piston rods of the cylinders is bent by overload or by accident.
• The braking valve in the power pack, or one of the check valves on the cylinders is blocked
(mechanical defect, or blocked by dirt or ice,...).
• By frosty weather: ice formation in the hydraulic pipes, valves.
• The braking valve in the power pack is dimensioned too small.
§5.12 - The platform LOWERS slowly without any control being actuated. It cannot be stopped
• The electrovalve D in the power pack is leaking. The O-ring of the cartridge is damaged, or
the valve is stuck in open position by dirty or ice.
• The check valves between the pump P and the main valve block are leaking.
• The seal of one of the lift cylinders is leaking.
§5.13 - The emergency hand pump doesn't work
• Air locked in the hand pump hydraulic circuit
• Insufficient quantity of oil in the reservoir. The hydraulic pump sucks air.
• The oil filter between the reservoir and pump is clogged up (dirt or ice formation).
• The seal of one of the lift cylinders is leaking.
• The check valves between the hand pump and oil tank are leaking.

Grease the HTL thoroughly, and verify the clearance of all pins in the articulation bearings.
Verify the general condition of the articulation points, pins and bearings for deformation.
Verify if the piston rods of the cylinders are straight, and if they move freely and smoothly through the cylinder head.
Dismount the braking valve in the power pack, and check valves on the cylinders. Verify if all run freely and work cor-
rectly.
If the free movement is ok, adjust the diameter of the plunger in consultation with the official DHO service agent.
By frosty weather: renew the oil, store the vehicle in a warm atmosphere, and try to melt occurring ice with a hot air
blower.
Flush / purge the cartridge of the electrovalve D. Revise (replace O-rings) or replace the part.
Check the cylinders for visible, significant oil leaks at the head of the lift cylinders. Revise the cylinders if required.
Dismount and clean out the check valves between valve block and pump P. Replace if required.
Remark: it is normal for most hydraulic valves to suffer from small pressure losses over a longer time period.
Flush the hydraulic circuit of the hand pump: rest the platform at the ground. Activate the emergency exit (valve D in
power pack) and operate the hand pump at the same time. The platform should rise after 10-20 strokes.
Verify the oil level in the power pack, and top-up oil if necessary.
Dismount the filter and clean it. Replace the filter if a complete rinse is not possible.
Check the cylinders for visible, significant oil leaks at the head of the lift cylinders. Revise the cylinders if required.
Dismount and clean out the check valves from the hand pump. Replace if required.
