... §5.3 - Symptoms of weak batteries or damaged current supply.
... continued
§5.4 - The platform doesn't SLIDE OUT / doesn't come out of the cassette.
• Don't forget to release the mechanical platform lock at the side of the cassette, prior to
sliding out.
• Wear or damage to the mechanical parts of the retraction system (gear wheel on electric
motor, tooth rack, guide rollers,...).
• Partial or full block of the gear box on the electric motor Me.
• Defective power supply from the vehicle batteries, dashboard switch or vehicle interlocks.
• Defective power supply from the power relay Rbat.
• Defect in the control unit (wander lead) or its wiring.
• Defect in the cable boom & loop from the power pack to the lift frame, travelling in / out at
the bottom of the cassette.
• Mini-relay R1 not working.
• Electric motor Me for the retraction not working (internal short circuit,...).
• Switch Sw0, Sw1 or mini-relay R4 stuck in wrong position.
§5.5 - The platform doesn't LIFT (at all)
• Defective power supply from the vehicle batteries, dashboard switch or vehicle interlocks.
• Defective power supply from the power relay Rbat.
• Defect in the control unit (wander lead) or its wiring.
• Defect in the cable boom & loop from the power pack to the lift frame, travelling in / out at
the bottom of the cassette.
• Starter solenoid R not working (defect or badly earthed).
• Switch Sw1 (frame in work position) not working.
• Electric motor M for the hydraulic power pack defect or badly earthed.

If no 24V is measured at the incoming pole of the power relay Rbat, check out the (+) battery cable, the main battery
fuse, all plug connections (if applicable), and the complete power circuit up to the batteries of the vehicle.
Charge the batteries, verify the function of the separate cells, and renew the batteries if necessary.
Seek the reason for flat batteries (damaged or corroded fuse, under-rated alternator,...) and repair or adjust.
Use the EMR function to determine if the platform doesn't slide out because of mechanical reasons (wear or damage
on gear wheel, tooth rack, guide rollers,...) or because of electrical reasons. If mechanical, remover the top cover of the
cassette, disassemble and service / repair / replace the failing parts.
If electrical, start with following the procedures under §5.2. Determine if there is 24V coming from the vehicle batteries,
dashboard switch, and if the power relay Rbat is working OK.
Push UP button and measure if the control unit and its wiring are functional. Measure ingoing & outgoing voltage on
R1, and replace if required. Measure ingoing & outgoing voltage on electric motor Me, and replace if required.
If Sw0 or R4 are stuck in wrong position, the electric motor M of the hydraulic pump P will be activated. The platform
will LIFT inside the cassette and get jammed.
Start with following the procedures under §6.2. Determine if there is 24V coming from the vehicle batteries, dashboard
switch, and if the power relay Rbat is working OK.
Push UP button and measure if the control unit and its wiring are functional. Measure ingoing & outgoing voltage on
starter solenoid R. If you measure 24V on both ingoing poles of the starter solenoid R, but not on the main outgoing
pole, R is badly earthed, or defect. Try with additional earth. Replace if required.
Attention: earth of starter solenoid R runs via switch Sw1. Defective earth of R can therefore be due to faulty switch
Sw1.
If you measure 24V on the main outgoing pole of the starter solenoid R, but the motor M doesn't run, M is badly
earthed, or defect. Try with additional earth. Replace if required.
