7 - Saisir l'extrémité de l'amarre avant
avec la gaffe et la fixer sur le
mousqueton avant du canot. Prendre
garde à ne pas activer la drisse de
libération du mousqueton.
8 - Ajuster la vitesse du canot à la
vitesse du navire en conservant une
traction sur la drisse de retenue
avant.
9 - Vérifier que les brins de l'élingue
sont dégagés et soulever l'anneau de
l'élingue.
10 - Saisir le croc à l'extrémité du câble
du bossoir et le fermer sur l'anneau
de levage de l'élingue. Prendre garde
à la position des mains.
11 - Vérifier la bonne fermeture du croc
sur l'anneau de l'élingue. En cas de
doute, libérer le croc et répéter la
manœuvre.
12 - Lever le canot.
13 - Couper le moteur.
14 - Dès que le canot est suspendu,
ajuster la position de la charge sous
l'élingue, sur la partie arrière du pont,
avec une inclinaison légère sur
l'arrière.

the boat hook and fasten it to the
bow towing line release hook. Pay
attention not
operating line of the hook.
8 - Adjust the speed of the rescue
boat to the speed of the ship while
keeping the bow bowsing line
under tension.
9 - Check that the lifting sling legs
are free and lift up the suspension
ring.
10 - Catch the hook at the end of the
davit cable and insert it into the
sling suspension
attention to placement of hands.
11 - Check that the hook is correctly
locked onto the sling suspension
ring. If in doubt, release the hook
and repeat the operation.
12 - Lift the rescue boat.
13 - Kill the engine.
14 - As soon as the rescue boat is
under the davit cable, adjust the
position of the load under the
sling, on the aft part of the deck,
to get the rescue boat slightly aft
balanced.
