3.9 - Récupération du canot de
secours
1 - Le câble du bossoir doit être
descendu de façon à compenser les
effets du vent pour que son extrémité
soit à la portée de l'équipage du
canot.
2 - La drisse de retenue avant doit être
flottante pour être récupérée avec la
gaffe par l'équipage.
3 - Avant le levage, l'équipage doit être
assis à l'intérieur du canot, centré et
équilibré sous l'élingue.

4 - En particulier ne pas placer toute la
charge sur la partie avant du pont
mais de préférence sur la partie
arrière.
5 - Venir le long du navire par son
arrière et s'assurer que le canot est
correctement
embarquée - ouvrir le vide vite grand
débit en permanence.
6 - Maintenir le canot à vitesse réduite
avec l'avant plus haut que l'arrière et
vérifier
l'évacuation
Conserver
cette

3.9 - Recovering the rescue boat
1 - The cable of the davit must be
lowered in order to compensate the
wind (if necessary) so the cable
end can be easily reached by the
rescue boat crew.
2 - The bow bowsing line must be
buoyant so that it can be recovered
by the rescue boat crew with the
boat hook.
3 - Prior to the recovery, position the
crew inside the rescue boat, as
much centred and balanced under
the lifting sling as possible.

4 - Do not put the complete load in
bow part of the deck but preferably
behind on the aft side.
5 - Come along side of the ship from
the aft and make sure the rescue
boat is correctly bailed out - keep
the large bailer opened.
6 - Run the rescue boat at low speed
to keep the bow higher than the
transom and check for proper water
drainage if water builds up. Keep
the same position until water is
completely bailed out.
WARNING
Recovery of a rescue boat loaded
with water creates an overload that
can be dangerous during lifting.
