START AND END OF SEDATION

Check the integrity of the components before each use
Before starting treatment, carry out a clinical, psychological and physical assessment of the patient
(blood pressure, radial pulse and respiration).
The device does not monitor the patient's physiological parameters, it is necessary to monitor the patient
using a pulse oximeter with customised alarm thresholds.
Place the cabinet in a flat, stable, comfortable position visible to the operator. Lock the wheels.
Allow proper air exchange by simply keeping a window open.
Slowly open the valve of the oxygen cylinder, check the value on the pressure gauge, do the same for
nitrous oxide.
Check that the anaesthesia bag is correctly installed, connect the delivery circuit and the exhaled gas
circuit according to the instructions in the manual enclosed with the components.
Switch on the device and enter the doctor's credentials.
Enter the patient's details if not already present or proceed with anonymous sedation.
Confirm, if desired, the sedation registration.
At this stage do a functional check, close the oxygen cylinder and check that the device signals a
lack and that the flow of nitrous oxide is blocked, if the operation is correct reopen the cylinder
and proceed with sedation, if there are anomalies stop sedation close the cylinders and contact
technical support.
Choose the most suitable mask for the patient and apply it to the patient, taking care that the edge has a
good fit on the patient's face.
Start delivering by turning the knob (O
) on the left-hand side of the control panel.

The device starts recording.
Tell the patient to breathe through the nose only.
Turn the knob until the optimal O2 flow for the patient is achieved, the correct flow is checked by looking
at the anaesthesia bag, it should remain open but not inflated "half full / half empty" and should follow
the patient's breathing.
