n ASSEMBLY NOTES
VALVE PLATE ASSEMBLY
n
1. Coat threads of valve plates, screws and hex nuts with Loctite 7471 Primer T. Allow to dry.
2. Add one drop Loctite 2760 to threads of each screw before installing.
3. Immediately install screws into valve plate.
4. Add one drop Loctite 2760 to each screw before installing hex nuts.
5. Torque screws and nuts to 11-15 in-lb.
PISTON RING ASSEMBLY
n
l Scraper ring is marked with orange stripe.
l Compression ring is marked with white stripe.
l Install rings with paint stripe to the left of gap in piston ring and pip mark toward top of piston.
CONNECTING ROD ASSEMBLY
n
l Torque capscrews to 82-86 in-lb when assembling on crankshaft.
