area. Repeat the same steps for the upper two
straps (Fig. 4 + 5).
4. You can individually adjust the length
of the straps by cutting them above where they
attach to the fastening area (Fig. 6).
Here is how to put on your JuzoPro Lumbal
Xtec Plus correctly:
1. Fasten the stabilising girdle as described by your
physician or the orthopaedic technician between
the two rear bars on the fleece belt and press
together firmly. The tip of the stabilising girdle must
point downwards (Fig. 1).
2. Before applying the orthosis please loosen the two
straps to ensure the orthosis is free of tension.
3. To make it easier to put on, slip your
hands into the finger pockets on the fastener parts.
Now place the JuzoPro Lumbal Xtec Plus around
your body (Fig. 2) and close the touch fasteners on
the front of the orthosis in the following order: First
place the left part of the fastener on your stomach
(Fig. 2) and then place the right side of the fastener
tightly across it and fasten it (Fig. 3).
4. Now detach the two pulling straps and
simultaneously pull these downwards and away
from the body at a slight angle (Fig. 4). You can
use these to set the optimum tensioning action of
the orthosis for your personal requirements and
pain sensation. Next secure the ends of the straps
anywhere on the velcro fastening area (Fig. 5).
5. You can individually adjust the length
of the straps by cutting them above where they
attach to the fastening area (Fig. 6).
The orthosis is properly in place when it covers
the abdomen without exerting too much (painful)
pressure. The orthosis must be put on, or must be
pulled down, so that the lower edge of the orthosis is
situated just above the groin. You can re-adjust it at
any time if necessary.
Please note:
Only wear your orthosis when prescribed by your
physician. Medical aids should only be dispensed by
suitably trained staff of a medical products supplier.
The effectiveness of the orthosis can only be realised
if it is applied correctly. The orthosis is largely
resistant to oils, ointments, skin moisture and other
environmental influences. Certain combinations may
negatively impact on the durability of the fabric. We
therefore recommend that it gets examined regularly
by the medical products supplier. Should the product
become damaged, please consult your specialist
supplier. Do not repair the orthosis yourself – this
could compromise its quality and medical efficacy.
For hygienic reasons, the orthosis is not suitable for
treating more than one patient.
Washing and care instructions
Please observe the care instructions on the textile la-
bel attached to your orthosis. Take the rear stabilising
girdle out of the orthosis, close the touch fasteners
and wash the orthosis in gentle or delicate cycle at
approx. 30 °C. Wash the orthosis separately the first
time (possibility of colour bleeding). If washing by
hand, rinse the orthosis well and allow it to dry at
room temperature. If possible, lay flat. Do not wring
it out. We recommend using the mild Juzo Special
Detergent. To reduce the drying time, you can place
the orthosis on a thick terry towel, roll it up tightly and
squeeze it firmly. Do not leave it in the towel and do
not place it on a heater or in the sun to dry. The ortho-
sis is not suitable for tumble drying. Please fasten the
stabilising girdle back into the orthosis again when the
orthosis is completely dry. This Juzo product must not
be cleaned chemically. You can wipe the stabilising
girdle clean with a damp cloth. The cover can be
washed just like the orthosis.
Material composition
Details are provided on the label sewn into your
orthosis.
Notes for the orthopaedic technician

requirements of the patient.
JuzoPro Lumbal Xtec Strong: To shape the rods or, de-
pending on the indication, remove them completely,
simply take them out of the pockets.
JuzoPro Lumbal Xtec Plus: The orthosis can be
