f) The felt sheet deteriorates quickly
1) Again, check that the probe of the
electronic thermostat is fastened correctly
and the air slots on the press basin upper
guard are clean.
Make sure that the distance between the
machine and the wall is correct and enables
correct ventilation. Damage to the cotton
sheet may otherwise follow.
Only use high temperature when strictly
necessary; similarly, the ironing pressure
selection must be appropriate for the fabric
at hand. Do not use high pressure unless it
is necessary.
2) Use the whole length of the roller.
3) Ensure that the temperature probes are
properly connected to the electronic board.
g) The automatic disconnection switch on
the wall trips repeatedly
The machine is equipped with electronic
devices requiring the installation of a noise
filter that gives a power leak to earth of
10¸12 mA. If similar appliances are
connected to the same supply line, the
threshold of the cutout switch may be
exceeded (as a rule 30 mA). If so, install one
automatic disconnection switch on the wall
for each appliance.
h) The machine does not extract the
moisture from the clothes
Regularly (approximately every 1000 hours
of operation) it is advisable to clean the
built-in stream extraction system.
To do this, turn off the master automatic
disconnection switch on the wall and the
built-in disconnection switch. Then remove
the right side panel. Then take the silicone
tube off, after having loosened the clamps
that lock it in place, and clean it using a
cloth and a vacuum-cleaner. By the use of a
screwdriver remove the screws fastening
the tube to the scroll of the air extraction fan
and clean the blade by the use of a powerful
vacuum-cleaner.
If the piping is in good working order, adjust
extraction as described in paragraph 7.9.
i) Replacement and control of fuses
The machine is equipped with fuses that
protect the electric system. These are as in
the following table:

Prior to starting the machine if a safety
device has tripped, work out the cause of the
fault. Further damage to the appliance may
otherwise be entailed.
8.2 SAFETY DEVICES - ALARMS
The machine features an electronic control
unit that not only controls normal ironer
functions but also constantly monitors a
number of fundamental machine parameters.
Besides the electronic safety devices, electro-
mechanical safety systems provide a high
degree of protection, besides electronic
control.
Parameters monitored by the machine and
indicated on the display screen:
"AL1" FINGER PROTECTION STRIP
OPERATION
In the event, due to accidental contact, of the
operator touching and pressing the strip
that protects the hands against contact with
the hot parts of the machine, this safety
device will immediately stop the roller, raise
the ironing press and move this to safety
position.
The heating remains on and the ironing
operation can be started again by pressing
the Start button.
"AL2" ROLLER MOTOR CUTOUT
OPERATION
This alarm appears whenever an overload
affects the roller motor. When this situation
occurs, the machine stops and all the parts
related to ironing are switched off: the press
opens, the extraction unit switches off and
the machine remains in standby with only
the alarm in question shown on the display
screen and the tripping of an acoustic beep.
In this case, to restore machine operation,
interrupt the power supply by means of the
master switch on the wall and the
disconnection switch on board the machine,
find and remedy the cause of the overload
(jammed linen....), and then restore power
to the machine and start the ironer.
If the alarm trips frequently and wax has not
been applied to the press for a long time,
apply this according to the instructions at
paragraph 7.18.
"AL3" EXTRACTION MOTOR CUTOUT
OPERATION
This alarm means an overload has affected
the iron steam extraction motor. The alarm
is indicated by means of a video message
and by a beep.
If this alarm trips, interrupt ironing. The
machine can continue and terminate only

right side. Loosen the clamps and take out
the presses. Make sure the extraction pipes
are clean. If they are not, clean them with a
damp cloth and a vacuum cleaner. Also
32
check that the extraction unit is in good
working condition. If it is dirty, remove the
coupling flange between the extraction unit
and the press, clean the fins and the scroll of
the extraction unit using a powerful vacuum
cleaner, removing all impurities.
Afterwards, reset the cutout on the control
panel on the left side of the ironer.
After completing these operations, fit all the
parts back on and make sure all the clamps
are tight. Fit the previously removed guards
and doors back on and then switch the
machine back on by means of the
disconnection switch and master switch.
"AL4" HYDRAULIC PUMP MOTOR
CUTOUT OPERATION
This alarm indicates an overload has affected
the motor controlling the hydraulic
movement of the ironing plate.
In this case, ironing is impossible and the
machine switches off, the roller stops as
does the extraction unit.
The alarm is indicated by means of a video
message and a beep.
To restore operation, switch off the ironer by
means of the master switch on the wall and
the disconnection switch on board the
machine. Open the left side door and find
the hydraulic unit. Make sure the motor is in
good working order. If it is not, make sure
there are no oil leaks and reset the cutout on
the remote switch in the machine control
panel.
After completing these operations, fit any
previously removed parts back on, close the
ironer and then start the machine again.
"AL5" THE OVERLOAD CUTOUT ON
THE DIATHERMIC-OIL MOTOR PUMP
HAS TRIPPED
This denotes overload in the pump motor
that circulates the heating fluid.
Ironing is terminated and the machine goes
off: the roller, extraction and heating are
stopped.
The appearance of this alarm is indicated by
the relevant reading on the display and by
the buzzer.
To resume operation, switch the machine
off and disconnect it from the mains by the
wall circuit breaker and cutoff switch aboard.
Wait for the machine to cool and only then
open the right flank door to access the
pumping unit.
IMPORTANT! NEVER OPEN MACHINE
SIDE DOORS WHEN HOT: SEVERE
BURNING DANGER!
Ensure that the motor is in good working
order. If it is not, repair or replace; make
certain that there are no oil leaks and reset
the overload cutout by the relevant contactor
on the machine's electrical board.
When all these instructions have been
fulfilled, put all removed parts back in place,
close the ironer and switch it back on.
If this alarm appears repeatedly and the
diathermic oil has not been changed for 2
years, immediately change the heating oil
for equivalent oil.
