In order to be operated, the ADR155c rack must have the Equipment address and the Ethernet port address configured in two different sub-networks.
The Equipment and Ethernet port addresses are configured using the HyperTerminal application of Windows.

Connect the "COMM" access of the equipment to a "COM" port not used on the PC using the SUB-D 9 contact Male / Female cable

Switch on the PC

With Windows started up, run the HyperTerminal application
( Menus : Start / Programs / Accessories / HyperTerminal )

Give a name and select an icon for the connection, then validate your choices.

Select the "COM" port of the PC connected to the equipment, then validate your choice.

Configure the port parameters in accordance with the characteristics given below then validate the configuration.

Bits per second

Data bits
•
Parity
•
Stop bits
•
Flow control

Save the connection configuration. The next time you open the HyperTerminal application, you will simply need to choose the
connection icon to connect to the equipment.

Press the "ENTER" key twice on the keyboard.
The MAIN MENU window appears on the screen.
Configuring the Equipment address
The Equipment address will be used to notify alarms and events to the Manager. This address is mandatory when using Unnumbered PPP links (in the
example below, the Equipment address is 192.168.30.30 ).
