Fig. 9
5. it is necessary to have access to the sides of the inner frame, then loosen the screws (one
on the right and one on the left side) that fix the basement of the fan deck; in ESTSVR and
ESTCVR models there are two fixing screws on each side;
6. rotate slightly the fan deck and then pull it out as illustrated in Fig. 9;
7. identify the dowels that fix the impeller to the motor shaft and loosen them by using a
socket-head screwdriver; loosen the 4 tapping screws which fix the scroll to the basement and
pull the scroll out of the basement by rotating it; after that, pull the impeller horizontally out;
8. disconnect the electrical terminals from the corresponding slots on the inverter (only sizes
512 a. 514);
9. loosen the nuts fastening the fixing clamps of the elastic ribbon supports of the motor and
then unhook the motor from the cradle in which it is contained pulling it upward;
10. take the new motor and for sizes 512 a. 514 set the DIP switch as the inverter to change
(s. Encl. 5);
11. after replacing the new motor, reassemble carefully all parts proceeding as described
above.
All EURAPO fancoils are provided with dynamically balanced fan decks, in
order to reduce the noise at minimum levels. When replacing the motor,
the fan deck could be unbalanced, therefore EURAPO suggest to stop the
operation at point 6 and to ask for a new complete fan deck.
7.4.3 CHANGE THE INVERTER SETTING
If the fancoil is installed in a duct, it is possible to set the maximum speed of the fan motor accord-
ing to the different external static pressure, in order to avoid alarms on the inverter, caused by too
high rpm and too low air flow (due to the esp).
In case, please change the DIP switch setting (see Encl. 5): before proceeding contact EURAPO
service department. The higher is the external static pressure, the lower the maximum rpm the
motor can reach.
7.4.2 REPLACING THE ELECTRIC MOTOR WITH
INVERTER
If necessary the electric motor can be replaced as fol-
lows:
1. be sure that the unit has been disconnected
from the power supply;
2. in models with the casing, it must be removed as de-
scribed in par. 6.3 of this manual;
3. remove the filter support;
4. remove the power supply and inverter signal cable and
be careful not to damage it while removing the fan deck;
