7.2.1 CLEANING THE AIR FILTER

Cleaning the filter is a very important activity of ordinary maintenance of an EST fancoil; if it is
clogged, the fancoil will have lower capacity and higher sound levels.
Cleaning the filter must be done at regular intervals, depending on real functioning and on the
amount of dust in the area where the unit is installed; in any way, it is advised to do it at least once
a month: clean with a normal vacuum cleaner and if dust stubbornly adheres to the filter due to
humidity or to greasy deposits, wash the filter with a solution of neutral detergent and water.
If the air filter is damaged, replace it.
Removing filter
The filter can be easily reached in models with casing; the access to the filter in concealed
models depends on the specific installation.
MODELS ESTSV, ESTSH, ESTPV, ESTPH
The filter is located at the bottom of the unit. Use a tool to release the retaining spring following
this procedure: with the edge of the tool (see Enclosure 4, Fig. 4-1) lever on the filter frame
pushing it backwards (see Enclosure 4, Fig. 4-2), until the frontal part is released from retainers
(see Enclosure 4, Fig. 4-3). To replace the filter, push on the back spring and invert the procedures
above.
MODELS ESTSV/AF, ESTSH/AF, ESTPV/AF, ESTPH/AF, ESTSVR
The filter is located beneath the frontal air intake panel. After loosening the fixing screws of the
frontal panel, take it away. Rotate the retainers and take the filter away.
MODELS ESTCV, ESTCH, ESTCV/AF, ESTCH/AF, ESTCVR
In ESTCV, ESTCH, ESTCV/AF, ESTCH/AF, ESTCVR models, when the unit is accessible, simply
rotate the retainers and withdraw the filter. When installing the filter, follow the same procedures
described above, taking care to replace it in the correct position.
Do not replace the filter on the unit until it is perfectly dry.
The plastic parts of the unit must be cleaned only with warm water and neutral
soap.

7.2.2 ADJUSTING THE GRILLES

In ESTSV, ESTSV/AF, ESTSH, ESTSH/AF, ESTPV, ESTPV/AF, ESTPH, ESTPH/AF, ESTSVR models,
the grilles located on the air outlet can be turned in to all 4 directions, by simply lifting the access
door on the left-hand side of the housing, sliding the grilles and removing them. When removing
a grille, pay attention not to break the little feet underneath. The grilles can then be replaced in
the desired position.
