tion). AF models can be directly mounted on the floor or on the wall.
Before installing the fancoil, check and mark the distance between the slots on the back
side of the inner frame. Place some fixing screw anchors in the holes in order to support
the weight of the fancoil, in accordance to the wall structure.
If the unit is not properly installed on the wall or on the ceiling, it can create a dangerous
situation and vibrations could make it noisy.
Special procedures for horizontal installation.
If a fancoil is installed in a room whose height exceeds 2.70 m, the performance of the unit
may be reduced due to stratification of the air.

6.5 WATER CONNECTIONS

For the hydraulic connections of the EST fancoil, use only suitable material
and follow the prescriptions of the system (project and rules of the Country of
installation).
Female thread water connections of 1/2" are used on all EURAPO EST fancoil units. Unless
otherwise specified by the customer, these connections are located on the right side of the
unit (as viewed from the front when the fancoil has been installed). The connections can
be easily reversed on site (see Par. 7.4.1 of this manual).
To facilitate installation and maintenance, we recommend to install that shut-off valves on
the intake and outlet pipes. Also, install a Y-filter between the heat exchanger and the gate
valve on the intake (see Fig. 2, Enclosure 4 of this manual).
If the unit has been provided with valves, the flow direction printed on the valve
body must be respected.
On the inner side of the unit, an antitorsion structure near
the coil connections avoids the headers deformation while
connecting the unit to the system. It is recommended to pay
attention not to exert excessive force when tightening the
connections and eventually to use double spanners, to
avoid overtightening and irreparable damages to the
coil (Fig. 5). The coils are provided with an air vent, acces-
sible by using a screwdriver trough the holes on the side of
the inner frame.
