Adjusting the incline of the saw head
Also check the angle of the saw head to the rotary table.
1.
Set the saw head to the transport position and the rotary
table to 0°. Verify the angle with a square (A, not supplied)
or protractor.
D
Proceed as follows if the angle is not exactly 90°:
• Loosen the locking nut for the set screw (29).
Unscrew the set screw (28) to turn the saw head to
the right.
Screw in the set screw (28) to turn the saw head to
the left.
• Tighten the locking nut for the set screw (29) once more.
• If necessary, loosen the screw for the indicator (27) and
shift it until it points to "0". Tighten the screw again.
2. Tilt the saw head by 45° and verify the angle with a protrac-
tor.
E
If necessary, adjust the incline angle of the saw head with
the help of the set screw (30).
• Tighten the locking nut for the set screw (31) once more.
Adjusting the saw blade depth
You must set the max. saw blade depth to ensure that
the saw blade does not touch the bottom of the saw blade
groove.
You must set the saw blade depth if you were unable to
cut the work piece all the way through during a trial cut (see
chapter on working with the saw "Straight cuts").
1. Push the saw head to the rear and tighten the locking screw
(6) of the pulling device.
2. Position the saw head vertically and tighten the incline lock-
ing lever (25).
3. Set the rotary table to 0° and firmly tighten the locking screw
for the rotary table (7).
4. Carefully turn the saw blade by hand to ensure that it turns
freely.
5. The saw blade depth is set correctly if the saw blade pro-
trudes approx. 5 mm below the table surface.
6. You can set the correct saw blade depth as follows:
Loosen the locking nut for the set screw (33).
The saw head rises when you turn the set screw (32)
clockwise.
The saw head is lowered when you turn the set screw
(32) counter clockwise.
Tighten the locking nut for the set screw (33) once more.
Adjusting the laser
The laser beam can become misaligned, e.g. through vibrations.
Check therefore prior to cutting if the laser correctly indicates the
cut line.
1. Set the saw as described in "Straight cuts".
2. Make a trial cut.
3. Switch on the laser (A) and compare the laser line with the
cut line.

the complete laser.
In case of minor deviations, loosen the screw (C) and turn the
laser head until the beam is positioned vertically.

Working with the saw

Before starting to work consider the following safety advic-
es to keep the risk of injuries as small as possible.
Saw blade OK?
Workplace tidied?
You may not start to operate the machine until you have
read these operating instructions, observed all the instruc-
tions given and installed the machine as described!
Before making adjustments to the saw settings (e.g.
replacing the saw blade, setting the work piece stop,
etc.)
− Switch off device
− Wait for standstill of the saw blade
− Pull out power plug
At any case pay attention to all security advices.
The pulling device
The pulling device can be utilized for all types of cuts (straight
cuts, mitre cuts, angled cuts and double mitre cuts).
Narrow work pieces (up to 75 mm high and 140 mm wide):
Push the pulling device to the rear and tighten the locking
screw (6).
Wide work pieces (75 – 90 mm high and 140 – 305 mm
wide):
Pull the pulling device forward and do not tighten the locking
screw (6) firmly.

Straight cuts

1. Move the saw head into the vertical position and tighten the
incline locking lever (25).
2. Loosen die fixing screws for the rotary table (7) and turn the
saw head into the 0° position. Tighten the fixing screws for
the rotary table (8) again.
3. Place the work piece against the stop (11) and clamp it with
the vice assembly (20).
4. Switch on the saw
5. Wait until the saw blade has reached its full speed.
6. While holding the On/Off switch (1), pull the lock for the
pendulum cover (17) towards the handle.
7. Using the handle, gradually lower the saw head and cut
evenly through the work piece down to the table insert.
8. Cut through wider work pieces by pushing the saw head
toward the rear.
9. Hold the saw head in position until the saw blade is no long-
er in the work piece.
10. Release the On/Off switch and turn the saw head up again.
