Replacing the connector

 Remove the mouthpiece, if necessary.
 Disconnect the inner mask.
 If necessary, remove the covering cap of the drinking valve and
then remove it from the cap together with the frame.
 Loosen the screws (Figure F-1) and pull off the wiper handle
(Figure H-6).
 Unhook the cap from the visor frame, then remove it from the
connector by pulling it upwards over the drinking valve.
The drinking valve remains in the connector.
 Swivel the drinking valve downwards by 180
the connector.
 Use a screwdriver to pry open the clamping ring (Figure A3-21),
then remove it. Take care that the mask body does not get
damaged.
 Pull out the old connector.
 Align the new connector according to the centre marks. Align the
wiper to the centre of the visor. The wiper must point towards the
visor.
 Insert the connector and that it is properly seated.
 Align and mount the new clamping ring: attach the hook to ensure
the tightest possible fit of the clamping ring. Compress the nose of
the clamping ring with the pliers (R 53 239) until the connector is
securely located in the mask body.
 Align the drinking valve, if necessary.
 Hook the cap into place on the button, place it over the drinking
valve, if necessary, and then hook it into the visor frame.
 If necessary, pull the covering cap of the drinking valve with the
frame over the drinking valve and mount it to the cap.
 Mount the wiper handle, then fasten the three screws
(recommended torque: 60+5 Ncm).
 Use Loctite 221 to secure the screw at the wiper handle.
 If necessary, put the covering cap on the drinking valve.
 Attach the inner mask.
 Mount the mouthpiece, if necessary.

Replacing the head harness

Remove head harness as follows (Figure K1):
 Turn the head harness away from the flap of the full face mask.
 Push the clip on the head harness towards the visor.
Attach the head harness to the full face mask as follows (Figure K2):
 Place the clip on the mask flap and push it onto the latch.
Make sure that the nose on the flap is correctly engaged in the
hole in the clip.

Transport
Transport facepiece in a carrying box or mask bag.
Storage
Store the cleaned Dräger FPS 7000 RP dry, free of dust and without
risk of deformation in its bag or carrying box.
Storage temperature –15 °C to +25 °C.
Protect from direct sunlight and thermal radiation.
Observe ISO 2230 and national regulations concerning the storage,
maintenance and cleaning of rubber products.
Disposal
Dispose of the full face mask in accordance with the applicable rules
and regulations.
