If using a half mask:

Adjust the carrier strap in such a way that there is no
tensile force on the mask and the freedom of movement
of the head is not restricted.
3. Switch on the purifying respirator using the flip switch
(Figure H1).
For the duration of approx. 3 seconds the LED illuminates
and a whistling sound is emitted (Figure H2).
NOTICE
i
i
If the fan switches off or fails during use, the respiratory
protection for the wearer remains intact. However, the
limitations of use for filter equipment without fan
support will then apply.
4. Observe warning signals during use (see Chapter 4 on
Page 12):
The purifying respirator emits both optical (Figure J1) and
acoustic (Figure J2) warning signals.
NOTICE
i
i
There is only a warning signal for malfunctions or if the
resistance of the filter becomes too high.
There is no warning signal for gases or vapours getting
through.
