Storage
5.3
Cleaning
Clean the purifying respirator after every use. Do not use
solvents such as acetone, alcohol, etc. for cleaning. Only use
the detergents listed below.
CAUTION
!
If water enters the purifying respirator, a short circuit
can occur when the equipment is switched on.
Do not allow water or soapy water to enter the device!
1. Moisten a soft cloth with luke-warm soapy water (water with
added universal detergent Sekusept Cleaner
clean the belt unit, hose, fitting and body harness.
2. Rinse the cloth in clear water and remove residue of the
detergent from the equipment components.
3. Wipe dry all components with a soft cloth and check for
visible damage, replace if necessary.
4. Dispose of waste water and cloths in accordance with the
applicable waste removal regulations. Further information
is available from the relevant environment and public
authorities.
Clean the mask in accordance with the corresponding
Instructions for Use.

Testing

After replacing the filter seal, hose or fan unit, the
purifying respirator must be checked for tightness.
Required test device and accessories:
1)
Testor 2100
, sealing plate GC
1. Insert the sealing plate GC between the filter and the filter
seal (Figure U1).
2. Insert the filter (Figure U2).
3. Connect the fitting to the Testor 2100 (Figure U3).
4. Check for tightness.
a. Generate a vacuum of 5 mbar and seal the test lines.
b. Start the stop watch.
The pressure change within one minute must be below
1 mbar.
5. If the purifying respirator is leaking:
Generate an overpressure, max. 10 mbar.
Locate the leak by brushing critical points with soapy water,
seal and repeat leak test.
6. After testing remove the sealing plate GC.

Storage
Remove the respiratory filter, do not store the belt unit with
the respiratory filter inserted.
Store the purifying respirator and charger dry and free from
dirt in a container or cabinet packed in a polyethylene bag.
Recommended temperature 0 °C to 40 °C at max. 90 %
relative humidity.
Store the mask and respiratory filter in accordance with the
corresponding Instructions for Use.

Disposal

EC-wide regulations for the disposal of electrical and
electronic equipment, which have been defined in the
EU Directive 2002/96/EC and in national laws, have
been effective since August 2005 and apply to this
device. Common household appliances can be
disposed of using special collecting and recycling
facilities. However, as this device has not been
registered for household usage, it must not be
disposed of through these means. The device can be
returned to your national Dräger Sales Organization
for disposal. Please do not hesitate to contact Dräger
if you have any further questions on this issue.
