Panic function E – operation
Opening the door – in the escape direction (from inside)
1. Operate the panic bar or the door handle.
 The lock was unlocked and the door can be opened.
Opening the door – against the escape direction (from outside)
A locked door cannot be opened from outside without a key. The key must be
used to open the door.

Unlocking and enabling the door with an electric strike
A locked door can be unlocked without engaging the outside door handle.
Therefore, the door can only be passed through from outside if an electric strike
("Electric strike", page 67) installed in the striking plate has been operated.
