The additional handle (7) is fastened to the hammer
drill by clamping. Turning the handle anti-clockwise
(as seen from the handle) loosens the clamping. Turn-
ing the handle clockwise tightens the clamping. First,
loosen the clamping of the additional handle. You can
subsequently swivel the additional handle (7) into the
working position that is most comfortable for you. Now
turn the additional handle back in the opposite direction
of rotation until the additional handle is rmly seated.
Depth stop (Fig. 3)
The depth stop (1) is held by clamping with the locking
screw (a) on the additional handle (7).
• Loosen the locking screw (a) and insert the depth
stop (1).
• Bring the depth stop (1) to the same level as the drill.
• Pull back the depth stop (1) by the desired drilling
depth.
• Tighten the locking screw (a) again.
• Now drill the hole until the depth stop (1) touches
the workpiece.
Inserting the tool (Fig. 4)
• Clean tool before use and lightly grease tool shaft
with drill grease (N).
• Pull back the locking sleeve (8) and hold in place.
• Push the dust-free tool into the tool receiver up to
the stop while rotating it. The tool will lock itself in
place.
• Check the locking mechanism by pulling on the tool.
Removing the tool (Fig. 5)
Pull back the locking sleeve (8) and hold it in place and
remove the tool.
Dust collection device (Fig. 6)
Before hammer drill work, slide the dust collection de-
vice (K) vertically over the drill.

Operation

m ATTENTION!
Always make sure the product is fully assembled
before commissioning!
Danger!
In order to prevent a hazard, the machine may only
be held by the two handles (4/7)! Otherwise there is
a risk of electric shock if a cable is drilled into!
Switching o : Release on/o switch (3).
Hammer-drilling/chiselling selector switch (Fig. 7)
• For drilling, press the button (e) on the rotary switch
(2) and at the same time turn the rotary switch (2) to
the switch setting (f).
• For hammer drilling, press the button (e) on the ro-
tary switch (2) and at the same time turn the rotary
switch (2) to the switch setting (c).
• For chiselling, press the button (e) on the rotary
switch (2) and at the same time turn the rotary switch
(2) to the switch setting (d). The chisel is not locked
in position (d).
• For chiselling, press the button (e) on the rotary
switch (2) and at the same time turn the rotary switch
(2) to the switch setting (g). The chisel is locked in
position (g).
Note!
Only a low pressing force is necessary for ham-
mer-drilling. Too much pressing force puts unnec-
essary strain on the motor. Check the drill regularly.
Sharpen or replace blunt drills.

10. Electrical connection

The electrical motor installed is connected and ready
for operation. The connection complies with the appli-
cable VDE and DIN provisions.
The customer's mains power connection as well as
the extension lead used must also comply with these
regulations.
Damaged electrical connection cable
The insulation on electrical connection cables is often
damaged.
This may have the following causes:
• Pressure points, where connection cables are
passed through windows or doors.
• Kinks where the connection cable has been improp-
erly fastened or routed.
• Places where the connection cables have been cut
due to being driven over.
• Insulation damage due to being ripped out of the wall
outlet.
• Cracks due to the insulation ageing.
Such damaged electrical connection cables must not
be used and are life-threatening due to the insulation
damage.
