Before Initial Use

Before you can use the device, you must:
• unpack the items supplied,
• assemble the device.

Unpacking the Device

CAUTION!
■ Keep children and animals away from the packaging material. There is a danger of
suffocation!
Unpack all parts and check the items supplied to make sure they are complete (see the
"Items Supplied" chapter); also check for transport damage. If you fi nd any damage to
the components, do not use them (!), but contact our customer service department.

Assembling the Device

CAUTION!
■ Before assembling the device, lay out a blanket or sheet to protect your fl oor.
• To make it easier for you to assemble the device, in the "Items Supplied" chapter you
will fi nd a parts list consisting of the categories "No.", "Name" and "Number" and a
picture overview showing the bolts, nuts and washers used with the associated part
number from the parts list. The numbers quoted in the illustrations in this chapter
also relate to the "No." category in the parts list.
• The items supplied include an open-jaw wrench and an hexagon key wrench which
will make assembly easier for you.
Step 1: Base

1. Attach the rear base and front base (No. 2)
to the basic frame (No. 1) with the aid of four
large pan head bolts (No. 3).
2. Push the large pan head bolts through the
recesses in the bases in such a way that the
square recess sits at the head of the bolt.
3. Fix the bolts with the aid of the four curved
washers (No. 4) and four self-locking bolt
nuts (No. 5).
Note that self-locking nuts are more dif-
fi cult to tighten than normal nuts.
First screw on the nuts loosely and then
tighten them once both bolts are fi xed in
the bases.
