Changing the panic side

The panic side of a lock with B-function ("B-function (changeover function)", page 35) must be adjust-
ed before installation. The panic side of the lock must be adjusted such that the door can be opened in the
escape direction (normally outward from inside) with the door handle, regardless of the locking status of
the lock.
Warning!
An incorrectly adjusted panic side can result in life-threatening danger and risk of injury: After install-
ing the lock, check whether the locked door can be opened in the escape direction.

Triggering self- locking

Press and hold the latch bolt (Fig. 11).

Press the control latch.

Release the latch bolt while pressing the
control latch.
The deadbolt is eliminated.
Adjust the panic side

The locking screws are always located on the panic
side.

Unscrew the locking screw.

Re-insert the locking screw on the opposite
side (torque 2.5 Nm).

Unscrew the locking screw.

Check the panic function using a latchkey and
a spindle (9 mm) before installing the lock.
