TROUBLESHOOTING
If you are unable to carry out the necessary repairs properly and/or do not have the required
training, always consult a specialist to solve the problem.
Problem
Producing wavy cuts
Last board is tapered or
narrow in the middle.
Blade comes off of band
wheels
Blades are breaking.
Blade is slowing down or
stopping when milling

Engine doesn't start

Possible cause
1. Inadequate blade tension.
2. Improper blade guide set up.
3. Improper blade tracking.
4. Sap build up on blade.
5. Dull blade.
6. Pushing mill too quickly.
Tracks are not levelled.
1. Inadequate blade tension.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Remediation
1. Tighten blade
2. Adjust blade guidance.
3. Adjust blade tracking.
4. Install new blade and ensure to run
always with blade lubrication.
5. Install new blade.
6. Slow feed rate down and push head
slower through log.
Level the tracks
1. Tighten blade
2. Adjust blade guidance.
3. Adjust blade tracking.
4. Install new belts.
5. Install new blade.
6. Slow feed rate down and push head
slower through log.
1. Install new blade
2. Adjust blade tension
3. Adjust blade guidance.
3. Adjust blade tracking.
4. Install new belts.
5. Slow feed rate down and push head
slower through log.
1. Tighten blade
2. Adjust V-Belt tension
3. Slow feed rate down and push head
slower through log
1. Install new blade
2. Assemble blade correct
1. Ensure log is clamped firmly resting on
log bunks and against log supports.
2. Install new Belts
3. Install new band wheel bearings
4. Slow feed rate down when milling.
5. Check all bolts to ensure they are tight.
1. check/refill engine oil
2. check/refill fuel
3. unlocking emergency stop switch
4. Close and tighten safety-guard
1. choke in position "open
2. open fuel tap
