Special cases

Since the device enables the programming of a total of four codes, there are some
special cases that may occur.
· Input is processed as soon as a full-length valid code is detected. As a result,
a long code in the initial sequence of digits should not match a similarly valid
short code. Example: A main code 123890 is programmed. If a user code 123 is
now programmed, the user code will already be recognised at the third position
and the door released when the main code is entered.
· Conversely, in the example above, if the shorter code is defined as the
main code, the user code will appear to be granted permanent unlocking
authorisation because the system recognises the first three digits of the user
code as a valid main code.

Three programming rules

If the following three rules are observed when programming the device,
this avoids any malfunctions or irritations that may occur due to overlaps
or contradictions.
I.) Make a note of the valid codes and keep this note in a safe place so that
you can first find out about the current status before changing the programming.
("User codes form", page 51)
II.) Do not leave any "dead code" in the programming. You should always delete
user codes that are no longer required.
III.) When programming multiple codes, make sure that the number sequence
of a short code is not identical to the initial number sequence of a longer code.
