5 Commissioning
5.5.1.3 Emergency stop function for individual (hand-held nutrunner)
channels within a tightening system with LTU350
The emergency stop function for the hand-
held nutrunner ErgoSpin with LTU350 is real-
ized via interface X2. The PS signal on termi-
nal 3 or 4 of the X2 interface is logically con-
nected in series with the signal of the
ErgoSpin start switch. The hand-held nutrun-
ner only operates when both signals are
present. If no external emergency stop circuit
is connected, the PS signal can be bridged
via pin 2 and 3 (delivery condition ex works).
If tightening channels in a system box are
equipped with LTU350, the PS signal on the
VM300 has no effect on these tightening
channels. Only the PS signal on interface X2
on the LTU350 is used.

Figure 18 shows the connection of the exter-
nal emergency stop circuit on the LTU350
using SB305 as an example. The connection
of the external emergency stop circuit on an
LTU350 in the SB301 takes place in the
same way.
