5 Commissioning
Marginal conditions:
– 24 V internal power supply.
– Emergency stop operating device in ac-
cordance with ISO 60947-5-1.
– The maximum line length for the emer-
gengy stop circuit is 100 m.
– The voltage at the input between PS and
GND must be at least 19 V in view of the
tolerances. The PS input takes approx.
50 mA of power.
– According to DIN EN ISO 13849, the
emergency stop must be carried out as a
system emergency stop.
– The wiring and regular inspection of the
emergency stop operating device and
emergency stop switch devices (e.g.
PNOZ) should be carried out in accord-
ance with the device instructions.
– Safety-relevant wires, which are installed
to be moved, must be short and cross-cir-
cuit proof.
– The internal power supply for the emer-
gency stop function is defined as SELV.
The SELV must remain free of ground in
order to ensure the emergency stop func-
tion. The SELV must be regularly checked
to make sure that it is free of ground (no
accidental ground).
– The cables and lines (visual examination)
and the function of the emergency stop
circuit must be checked at regular inter-
vals.
Case A: The emergency stop switch is
connected directly to the contacts for
emergency stop
When the emergency stop switch S1 is trig-
gered, the spindles are braked to a stop by
the servo amplifier and the internal contac-
tors of the individual amplifiers LT303 -
LT305 are opened. This interruption to the
tightening process leads to a control error
message. The process can be restarted once
the S1 switch has been closed.

Case B: Use of an emergency stop switch
device, e.g. PNOZ
The emergency stop circuit in the emergency
stop switch device is blown off and causes
the same to occur as described at A. A return
of unoccupied contacts of the internal servo
contactors on X1, X2 is not required.
Variant 1: These contacts are bridged in case
of exclusive use of the emergency stop
switch device for the tightening system.
Variant 2: In case additional activities need to
be investigated, e.g. feed output slides etc.,
they can be returned in the usual way via X1,
X2.
The voltage circuits on terminal X20
are to be isolated from the power
circuit (safe isolation as per
EN50178). When using these ter-
minals, the requirements for safe
isolation from power circuits must
be observed.
