5.1 Construction of a tightening
system
The following steps should be taken prior to
the initial commissioning of a tightening sys-
tem:
1 Set system box address (when amount of
boxes is >1)
2 Insert assemblies in the system boxes
3 Connect protective conductor
4 Select voltages with SB305 (factory set-
ting: 400 V) – see chapter 5.3.4 / X21 in-
terface
5 Connect to the mains
6 Check all access lines and cards for prop-
er connection
7 Program tightening system with BS300

5.2
Prior to the initial operation of the tightening
system, an address must be assigned at the
internal bus for the system box. This setting
ensures a unique identification of every tight-
ening channel. The participant's address of
the tightening channels is made up of the set
address of the box and the slot used.
Example: A tightening channel with the ad-
dress 2 at slot 4 in the system box is referred
to as channel 2.4.
The address of the box is set on switch S1,
which is found on the left-hand side of the
rear panel board. Values of 0 - F (addresses
0 - 15) can be set.
