6. MAINTENANCE AND CARE
6.1 MAINTENANCE
If used correctly, the bicycle rack and extension for the third bicycle will not need maintenance.
6.2 CARE
Clean the bicycle rack and extension with a mild detergent, with warm water and/or a soft cloth. Remove coarse dirt and dust
beforehand.
Do not use solvents or similar cleaning agents, as these may damage the bicycle rack.
Allow the bicycle rack to dry off. Do not use a hairdryer or other heating devices to speed up the drying process.
Clean the bicycle rack regularly when used in coastal areas or in winter conditions, in order to remove any salt and prolong the service
life of the bicycle rack.
When not in use for long periods (e.g. over the winter period), the bicycle rack should be stored in a safe and dry area, to prolong its
service life.
Before embarking on any journey, check the bicycle rack and extension for wear and tear.
Defective parts and tensioning belts must be replaced.
If the paintwork is damaged, make sure the damage is dealt with as quickly as possible, to prevent the material becoming corroded.

Any changes to original parts and materials, or the construction of the bicycle rack, can affect its safety and performance.
