WARNING!
Personal injury or property damage due to loss of the bicycles.
Driving without the safety strap can lead to accidents. The bicycle rack may not be used without this safety strap.
• Before embarking on any journey, check that the strap is fastened correctly and firmly around the bicycles and
U-frame of the rack (Figure 11).
• Before embarking on any journey, check both straps are fastened correctly and firmly around the front wheel, and
the strap around the rear wheel of the bicycle.
• If necessary, tighten the straps again.
• Before embarking on any journey, check to make sure the straps used are undamaged and not worn.
• Damaged or worn straps must be replaced with undamaged ones before you embark on your journey. Only straps
authorised by EAL GmbH for the purpose may be used.

A loose connection between the bicycle rack and a bicycle can lead to the detachment of the connection and loss of
the bicycle.
• Check that the bicycles are mounted fully and securely.
• If any of the fastenings are loose, repeat the steps from Figures 8 to 11.
NOTE
The frame bracket may result in minor pressure points on the bicycle frame and damage to the paintwork. Protect the
bicycle frame, for example, by using protective film

5.5 REMOVING THE EXTENSION

Remove the extension for the third bicycle from the bicycle rack, by turning both levers (1) upwards and then lifting the extension (2).

Using the bicycle rack without a mounted extension for the third bicycle can lead to accidents.
• Always remove the aluminium adaptor when using the bicycle rack without the extension for the third bicycle.
