4. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

You will find the following categories of safety precautions in the instructions:
WARNING!
Personal injury possible:
Instructions under the heading WARNING! Warning of a possible threat of danger. Failure to avoid such danger could
result in serious or even fatal injuries.
CAUTION!
Personal injury or material damage possible:
Instructions under the heading CAUTION warn of possibly impending danger. Failure to avoid such danger may result in
slight or minor injuries. The product or other nearby objects may be severely damaged.
ATTENTION!
Personal injury or material damage possible:
Instructions under the heading ATTENTION! warn of a potentially harmful situation. Failure to avoid such
situations may result in damage to the product or other nearby objects.
NOTE

Other information:

Useful tip. Makes the operation or installation of the product easier, or serves for better understanding.
The safety symbol used does not replace the text of the safety message. Therefore, read the safety information and follow it exactly!
• Children may not play with the device.
• Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision.
• Do not treat packaging material carelessly. This may become a dangerous toy for a child.

Check the bicycle rack and its load regularly! You are required to do so and may be held liable in case of damage.
ATTENTION
The driver is always responsible for ensuring that the load and the load securing meet the regulations. Therefore, check
the load regularly; the load should be checked regularly even during long journeys.
NOTE
Do not travel with an empty bicycle rack. Store it in the boot of your vehicle. This prevents increased fuel
consumption and protects the rack.

Driving with the mounted bicycle rack will affect the driving characteristics of your vehicle.
• Adjust your speed to the new driving characteristics.
• Never drive faster than 130 km/h.
• Avoid sudden and jerky steering operations.
• Remember that your vehicle is longer than usual.

Personal injury or property damage due to overloading.
Exceeding the maximum payload of the bicycle rack, and the permitted supporting load of the trailer coupling or
permitted overall weight, may lead to serious accidents.
• Always observe the specifications regarding the maximum payload, permitted supporting load and permitted
overall weight of your vehicle. Do not exceed these specifications at any time.
WARNING!
Personal injury or property damage possible due to an incompletely mounted bicycle rack.
Driving with a folded bicycle rack can lead to accidents.
The moving parts of the bicycle rack do not represent a source of danger when fully mounted.
• Disassemble the bicycle rack when not in use.
• Never drive with a folded bicycle rack.
