Cause
b) C hain/belt has come off.
a) The spoke magnet has slipped.
b) Climb assist is set too high.
a) T here are various reasons for motor noise – it is not always due to a mechanical fault. For example, the following factors can negatively affect
noise:
»
Excessively high cadence with a low load.
»
Very high assist level (e.g. riding uphill).
»
Derailleur gear (as opposed to a gear hub).
b) Chain/belt tension too high.
c) Dirty chain/belt.
d) Defective pedals.
e) Motor bolts not tight enough.
Easy-reach control is defective.
Shift sensor defective.
a) Software is not up to date.
b) Shift cable incorrectly threaded.
Remedy
b) Lift the chain/belt on to the sprocket and adjust the tension. Contact your cycle dealer

a) Check whether the spoke magnet has slipped. It should be
as close as possible to the speed sensor on the chain stay
(max. 10 mm). Align the magnet with the marker point on
the speed sensor.
