SPARE PARTS AND ACCESSORIES

Only use original spare parts and accessories.
RHOSS S.p.A. shall not be held liable for damage
caused by tampering or work carried out by
unauthorised personnel or malfunctions caused by
the use of non-original spare parts or accessories.
II.2.1

FACTORY FITTED ACCESSORIES

PBY – Low pressure switch.
RCC – Compressor crankcase heater.
SFS – Soft-starter device (for single-phase models only).
RAB – Unit base antifreeze electric heater for operation in heat pump
mode at an external air temperature of below -5°C. This must be
handled as a special feature by our pre-sales office.
FI10 – Proportional electronic device for the pressurised and continuous
regulation of the fan rotation speed down to an external air temperature
of -10°C when operating as a chiller and up to an external air
temperature of 40°C when operating as a heat pump.
DSP – Double set-point via digital consensus (not compatible with the
CS accessory), only for models with compatible
and Precision option. Handled as a special accessory by our pre-sales
office.
CS – Sliding set-point via 4-20 mA analogue signal (incompatible with
the DSP accessory) envisaged for models with compatible
control only and Precision option. This must be handled as a special
feature by our pre-sales office.
II.2.2

ACCESSORIES SUPPLIED LOOSE

KSA – Anti-vibration supports.
KFA – Water filter.
KRAA – Antifreeze heater on storage tank.
KRS232 – RS485/RS232 serial converter for interconnection between
RS485 serial network and supervision systems with serial connection to
PC via RS232 serial port (RS232 cable provided).
KUSB – RS485/USB serial converter for interconnection between
RS485 serial network and supervision systems with serial connection to
PC via USB port (USB cable provided).
KTR – Remote keypad for control at a distance with rear illuminated
LCD display (same functions as the one built into the machine).
KRIT – Supplementary electric heater for heat pump.
KEAP – Outdoor air sensor for Set-point compensation and/or
supplementary heater supervision (incompatible with CS accessory).
KFI – Proportional electronic device for the pressurised and continuous
regulation of the fan rotation speed down to an external air temperature
of -10°C when operating as a chiller and up to an external air
temperature of 40°C when operating as a heat pump.
KPBY – Low pressure switch.
KSC – Clock card to display date/time and to regulate the machine with
daily/weekly start/stop time bands, with the possibility to change the set-
points.
KVDEV – 3-way diverter valve for managing the production of domestic
hot water.
KRS485 – RS485 serial interface card to create dialogue networks
between cards (maximum of 200 units at a maximum distance of 1,000)
and building automation, external supervision systems or
S.p.A. supervision systems (supported protocols: proprietary protocol;

KFTT10 – FTT10 serial interface card for connection to supervision

systems (LonWorks system compliant with Lonmark

KISI – CAN bus serial interface (Controller Area Network compatible
with evolved hydronic system

KMDM – GSM 900-1800 modem kit to be connected to the unit or the
management of the parameters and any alarm signals on a remote
basis. The kit consists of a GSM modem with relative RS232 card. It is
necessary to purchase a SIM data card, not supplied by

TRANSPORT - HANDLING - STORAGE

DANGER!
The unit must be transported and handled by
skilled personnel trained to carry out this type of
work.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Dispose of the packaging materials in compliance
with the national or local legislation in force in your
country. Do not leave the packaging within reach of
children.
IMPORTANT!
Be careful to avoid damage by accidental collision.
II.3.1

PACKAGING, COMPONENTS

DANGER!
DO NOT OPEN OR TAMPER WITH THE PACKAGING
BEFORE INSTALLATION.
The units should only be moved and lifted by
specialized personnel trained in these operations.
Move the machine, with the packaging intact, to the place of installation
using a forklift or pallet truck (Fig. 7).

The units are supplied in a cardboard box, screwed onto a wooden
pallet and banded.
Each unit is supplied complete with:
• instructions for use;
• wiring diagram;
• list of authorised service centres;
• warranty document;
• use and maintenance circulating pump manuals.
II.4

HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS

DANGER!
The off-centre position of the centre of gravity
could give rise to sudden and dangerous
movements. Movement of the unit should be
performed with care, in order to avoid damage to
the external structure and to the internal
mechanical and electrical components. Also make
sure that there are no obstacles or people blocking
the route, to avoid the danger of collisions or
crushing or of the lifting device turning over.
