IMPORTANT!
Incorrect positioning or installation of the unit may
amplify noise levels and vibrations generated
during operation.
The following accessories are available to reduce noise and vibration:
KSA - Antivibration mountings.
When installing the unit, bear the following in mind:
• non-soundproofed reflecting walls near the unit may increase the
total sound pressure level reading near the appliance by as much as 3
dB(A) for every surface;
• install suitable anti-vibration mountings under the unit to avoid
transmitting vibrations to the building structure;
• make all water connections using elastic joints. Pipes must be firmly
supported by solid structures. If the pipes are routed through walls or
panels, insulate with elastic sleeves. If, after installation and start-up of
the unit, structural vibrations are observed in the building which provoke
such strong resonance that noise is generated in other parts of the
building, consult a qualified acoustic technician for a complete analysis
of the problem.

WATER CONNECTIONS

II.7.1

CONNECTION TO THE SYSTEM

The unit is fitted with male threaded water connections and a manual air
bleed valve on the inside, on the right-hand side of the unit (Fig. 19).
Install the drain valve in the storage tank.
IMPORTANT!
We recommend installing isolating valves that
isolate the unit from the rest of the system. It is
obligatory to install a network filter outside the
machine's water inlet. Clean the filter from time to
time.
The water flow through the heat-exchanger should not fall below a
value corresponding to a temperature differential of 8°C.
II.7.2

CONTENTS OF WATER CIRCUIT

II.7.2.1
Minimum contents of water circuit
In order to keep the units in good working order, depending on the
chosen control, minimum water contents in the water system must be
ensured. The minimum water content is established on the basis of the
unit's nominal cooling capacity (table A Technical Date), multiplied by
the coefficient expressed in l/kW.
AdaptiveFunction
TCAEY THAEY 105÷111
AdaptiveFunction Plus
TCAEY THAEY 105÷111
Example: THAEY 109 Qf = 8.82 kW
If the unit has
control with the AdaptiveFunction function,
STANDARD
the minimum system function must be:
Qf (kW) x 4 l/kW = 8.82 kW x 4 l/kW = 35.5 l.
If the unit has
control with the AdaptiveFunction Plus
function, the minimum system function must be:
Qf (kW) x 2 l/kW = 8.82 kW x 2 l/kW = 17.7 l.
II.7.2.2
Maximum contents of water circuit
All units are equipped with an expansion tank that limits the maximum
amount of water contained in the system.
Maximum contents
Water
Mixture with ethylene glycol at 10%
Mixture with ethylene glycol at 20%
Mixture with ethylene glycol at 30%
(*) It is necessary to add an external storage tank properly sized for the
system.
If the water contents exceeds the indicated value, and additional
expansion tank will be required.

II.7.2.4
Filling the water circuit
In order to allow the unit to be filled and pressurized (max P 3 bar) and
to allow the water to be drained from the unit when necessary
(prolonged or seasonal shutdowns, or maintenance), the installer
should fit a valve in correspondence to the threaded sleeve (ref. 4, Fig.
17 and 18).
The water system should be filled with the right-hand side panel
dismantled in order to make sure that the automatic drainage is working
properly.
While filling the system, it is possible to work on the manual bleed valve
which can be accessed through the hole present on the right-hand side
of the unit (Fig. 19).
