S In order to prevent fast wear, the force introduction
point should be greased. Please ensure that you do
not use too much grease as the cell butyl ring will
otherwise stick from a nominal load >4.7 t!
Assembly preparation
S The site surfaces or foundations must be level and
horizontally aligned.
S The contact area (baseplate of the load cell) must
meet special requirements (e.g. heat expansion coef­

ficient 11⋅10
S For correct functioning, always use the original HBM
baseplate. This is included in the scope of delivery of
the HBM mounting accessories VEN and VPN.
Mechanical sources of error
Transverse forces
S The load cell is not loaded exclusively in its direction
of measurement, caused by an incorrect assembly or
a construction with insufficient flexural strength.
During operation transverse forces can occur in the fol­
lowing circumstances:
1. Breaking forces of a vehicle on a weighing bridge
2. Bending of the construction
3. Expansion of the construction due to temperature in­
creases
4. Wind forces in the open air
5. Drive motors / mixers
