When opening the firebox door the fuel indicator will extinguish and the
controller automatically changes the air slider to the optimal position.
NOTE: ADDING FUEL
The firebox cladding (firebricks) is made from vermiculite.
The relatively soft surface is subject to natural wear during use:
► Carefully add fuel to the firebox.
► Do not allow logs to drop against the firebricks.
► Cracks in the firebricks do not affect the functionality of your
stove.
► Replace the firebricks if pieces have broken off
and the back wall of the firebox becomes visible.
► Spare parts are listed in
chapter "12.1 Spare parts and wear parts"
NOTE: AMOUNT TO ADD
When adding fuel, never fully cover the firebed (risk of deflagration):
► When adding fuel, never add more than max. 1.8 kg of fuel.
INFO: RELIGHTING
To relight your stove:
► Push the ash through the grate openings and into the

ash drawer.

► Loosely spread the unburned charcoal remains over the
bottom of the firebox so the grate openings can still let
grate air through.
► Skip to chapter "6.5.2 Lighting the fire".
INFO: COMBUSTION AIR OPENINGS
Inside the combustion chamber are combustion air openings (Fig. 18) which
supply the stove with rear wall air. Blocking these openings causes high
emissions:
► Never block these openings with fuel!
► Observe the max. fill height of 20 cm.

6.5.6 Operation in poor weather

NOTE: OPERATION IN POOR WEATHER
During the transition seasons (spring/autumn), outdoor temperatures above
16° C can disrupt the airflow in the chimney. If airflow cannot be produced at
this temperature from paper or small logs burning quickly (pilot fire),
refrain from firing.

6.6 Stopping the fire
Do not add fuel in order to stop the fire.
The air flaps will automatically close and the LED indicator will extinguish.
6.7 Ash drawer
CAUTION: HOT ASHES
Ash becomes very hot during operation and can still be hot after the fire
has gone out:
► Empty the ashes into a fireproof container.
► Allow the ashes to cool down for at least 48 hours.
► Do not dispose of the ashes until they have cooled down
completely.
► Do not let grow the ash cone until the bottom of the firebox.
INFO: ASH DRAWER
When sliding in the ash drawer, ensure it is flush with the seal (Fig. 21).
This ensures the burning process is not disturbed by false air.
To remove the ash drawer:
► Open the service door (Figure 19).
► Pull the ash drawer out of the opening by the cover (Figure 20).
► Empty the ashes into a fireproof container.
9 Slide the ash drawer back into the opening so it is flush with
the seal (Figure 21).
