Speaker Configuration

It is important to perform speaker configuration prior to using the
decoder.
At each press of the SETUP button on the AMP ADVANCED page
of the remote control unit, the mode is changed as shown :
(The indications differ from this diagram depending on the
surround mode you select. If you want to set all the settings
available, play a DOLBY DIGITAL 5.1-channel audio source.)
When no action is taken for 10 seconds, the display returns to the
normal mode.

Press the SETUP button repeatedly until the desired Speaker
Configuration is shown on the display.

Use the arrowhead buttons (g/t) to set the appropriate
status.
When you select "SMALL" for the front speakers, the
subwoofer is automatically switched ON (and it is useless to
scan for SUB ON/OFF settings on the display).
Repeat steps
1
and
2
to set other configurations.
When all the configurations have been finished, press the
SETUP button repeatedly until the display returns to the normal
mode, or leave the unit for 10 seconds.
FRONT SPEAKER Mode:
< F-LARGE: The mode to choose if a large speaker is installed.
Front channels output is full range.
< F-SMALL: The mode to choose compact speakers. The front
channels' bass contents (90 Hz and below) are reproduced by
subwoofer.
CENTER SPEAKER Mode:
< C-LARGE: Use this mode with a large center speaker. The
center channel's output is full range.
< C-SMALL: Use this mode with a small center speaker. The
center channel's bass content (90 Hz and below) is reproduced
by subwoofer. If there is no subwoofer installed, the center
channel's bass content is routed to the center speaker as in
the C-LARGE mode.
< C-NONE: Use this mode if there is no center speaker. The
center channel signal will be divided between the main L and R
speakers.
SURROUND SPEAKER Mode:
< S-LARGE: The mode to choose if a large speaker is used or if a
subwoofer is connected in parallel. The rear channels output is
full range.
< S-SMALL: The mode to choose if small speakers are used. The
surround channels' bass contents (90 Hz and below) are
reproduced by subwoofer. If there is no subwoofer installed, the
surround channels' bass contents are routed to the surround
speakers as in the S-LARGE mode.
< S-NONE: Use this mode if there are no rear speakers installed.
SUBWOOFER output :
SUB-ON:The mode to choose if a subwoofer is used.
<
SUB-OFF:The mode to choose if no subwoofer is used.
<
Sound from LFE channel is routed to the front speakers.
