WARNING: Exposure to vibrations through prolonged
use of combustion engine-driven tools could cause
blood vessel or nerve damage in the fingers, hands,
and wrists of people prone to circulation disorders or
abnormal swellings. Prolonged use in cold weather
has been linked to blood vessel damage in otherwise
healthy people. If symptoms occur such as numbness,
pain, loss of strength, change in skin colour or texture,
or loss of feeling in the fingers, hands, or wrists,
discontinue the use of this tool and seek medical
attention.
WARNING - The rotary cultivator, when used correctly,
is a useful and effective tool; if used incorrectly or
without the necessary precautions, it can be dangerous.
For pleasant and safe work,always strictly comply
with the safety rules that follow and throughout this
manual.

produces an electromagnetic field of very low intensity.
This field could interfere with certain pacemakers.
To reduce the risk of serious or fatal injury, persons
with pacemakers should consult their doctor or the
manufacturer of the pacemaker before using this
machine.
WARNING: – National regulations could limit use of the
machine.
1. Read this manual carefully until you completely understand
and can follow all safety rules, precautions, and operating
instructions before attempting to use the unit.
2. Always keep the manual nearby so that you can refer to it
as needed. If the manual gets lost, request a new one.
3. Use of the rotary cultivator is restricted to adult operators
capable of understanding and complying with the safety
rules, precautions and operating instructions given in this
manual. Minors should never be allowed to use a rotary
cultivator.
4. Do not handle or operate the rotary cultivator when you
are fatigued, ill or upset, or if you have taken alcohol, drugs
or medication. You must be in good physical condition and
mentally alert. Rotary cultivator work is strenuous. If you

have any condition that might be aggravated by strenuous
work, check with your doctor before operating the rotary
cultivator (Fig.1). Be more cautious before rest periods and
towards the end of your shift.
5. Keep children, bystanders, and animals a minimum of 15
metres away from the work area. Do not allow other people
or animals to be near the rotary cultivator when starting or
operating the machine (Fig.2).
6. While work ing with the rotar y cultivator, always use
approved protective safety clothing. Do not wear clothes,
scarves, ties or bracelets that may get stuck into twigs.
Tie up and protect long hair (example with foulards, cap,
helmets, etc.). Safety boots having skid-proof sole and
anti-piercing insert. Wear protective goggles or face
screens. Use protections against noise: for example,
noise reduction ear guards or earplugs. Wear gloves
that permit the maximum absorption of vibrations
(Fig. 3-4-5-6).
7. Only allow others to use the rotary cultivator who have read
this operator's manual or received adequate instructions for
the safe and proper use of the rotary cultivator.
8. Check the rotary cultivator daily to ensure that all safety
and other devices are fully operational.
9. Never use a damaged, modified, or improperly repaired
or assembled rotary cultivator. Do not remove, damage
or deactivate any of the safety devices. Always replace
cutting tools or safety devices immediately if they become
damaged, broken or are otherwise impaired.
10. Carefully plan your work in advance. Do not start working
until you have a clear work area and a secure footing.
11. All rotary cultivator servicing, other than the operations
shown in this manual, must be performed by qualified
personnel.
12. The rotary cultivator is designed exclusively to break up soil
and plough land (rotor accessory) or to cut grass (cutterbar
accessory). It is inadvisable to cut other types of material.
Any other usage not indicated in these instructions may
damage the machine and pose a serious hazard to people
or property.
13. It is prohibited to hitch tools or applications to the PTO that
are not specified by the manufacturer.
14. Do not use the machine without the protective cover of the

rotating blades.
15. All labels with health hazards must be kept in good conditions.
In case of damage or deterioration, immediately substitute
them (see pag. 8-9-10-11).
16. Do not utilize the machine for uses different from the ones
specified in the manual (see pag. 42).
17. It is the user's responsibility to evaluate the potential risks
that may arise in the area to be worked on. It is also the
user's responsibility to take all the necessary precautions
to ensure his/her safety, particularly on slopes, uneven or
slippery land and loose ground.
18. Make sure you have a firm foothold when working on
slopes. Work across slopes, never ascending or descending.
Do not use the rotary cultivator on land with a gradient of
more than 10° (17 %).
19. Please note that the owner or the user is responsible for
any accidents or damage to third parties or their property.
20. When you engage the rotating blade assembly, make sure
nobody is in front of or close to the machine. Take a firm
grip of the handlebars as they tend to lower when the rotor
assembly is engaged.
21. When using the machine, maintain a safe distance from the
rotating blades. This is approximately the same distance as
the length of the handlebars.
22. When operating the machine on steep slopes, the user
must ensure that nobody is located within a 20 metre
radius of the machine. The user must be in complete
control of the machine.
23. The machine can be fitted with different accessories. It
is the owner's responsibility to ensure that these tools
or accessories conform to applicable European safety
regulations. Using non-certified accessories can jeopardise
your safety.
WARNING: Never use a machine with faulty safety
equipment. The machine's safety equipment must be
checked and maintained as described in this section.
If your machine fails any of these checks contact your
service agent to get it repaired.
