9. Never load the Davitrac™+ or components above
their rated load.
10. This product is suitable for use in a temperature
range from -31°F to +140°F. (-35°C to +60°C).

1.1.2. Your duty to inspect and maintain

1. A visual inspection is required before each use; the
operator must make sure that each component is
in good working order, in particular by inspecting
the condition and presence of the mast rotation
ring on the mast. When it is put in place, the safety
functions must not have deteriorated in any way.
2. The product may not be used before an inspection
by Tractel or by an authorized and trained
technician, who must first authorize the reuse of the
system in writing, if:
i.
it is not in a visibly good condition,
ii. Its safety is in doubt,
iii. it has been used to arrest a fall,
iv. it has not undergone a periodic inspection in the
course of the previous 12 months; user safety
depends on the proper maintenance of the
efficiency and strength of the equipment.
3. The manufacturer declines any responsibility for
consequences of repairs or modifications brought
out of its control to the product, especially by
replacement of original parts or repairs by another
manufacturer.
4. Except for the operations described in this manual,
the maintenance of Tractel Ltd. Equipment as well
as repair must be exclusively done by an authorized
(written approval) service center or by Tractel.

1.1.3. Your duty to train and control people

1. Do not use the Davitrac™+ system and components
unless properly trained on the system.
2. Before operating, a worker should be:
i.
mentally and physically fit for the purpose,
especially at heights or in confined spaces;
ii. free from the influence of alcohol or drugs;
iii. competent for the job to be performed;
iv. familiar with the equipment and all applicable
safety rules, regulations, and requirements;
v. trained under safe conditions, for working under
the above requirements.
3. Wear appropriate protective gear including, but not
limited to: a hard hat, heavy gloves, safety glasses,
safety shoes with slip-resistant soles, and protective
clothing.
4. Never exceed allowable capacity of your fall
protection equipment.
5. Never exceed maximum free fall distance of your
fall protection equipment.
6. Training workers includes setting up rescue
procedures should a fall occur during a job prior
to putting the systems into operation. A qualified
person or technical consultant according to work
conditions must set up such procedures.
7. Comply with locally applicable labor regulations.

1.1.4. Your duty to avoid taking chances

1. If the weight of the operator plus that of their
equipment is between 220 lb. (100 kg) and 330 lb.
(150 kg), it is essential to make sure that the total
weight does not exceed the safe working load of
each component of the fall arrest system.
2. This equipment should not be used beyond its
limits or in any situation other than that for which
it is designed: see Section "4. Functions and
description".
3. This system is man rated. It must only be used in
conjunction with personal fall arrest equipment
that limits the average arresting force to 400daN
(900lbs).
4. Before each use of a fall arrest system, make sure
that there is adequate vertical clearance and that
there are no obstacles in the path of the fall.
5. A full body harness in accordance with ANSI
Z359.18-2017 and CSA Z259.15-17 is the only
equipment around the body that may be used in a
fall arrest system; secure it to the dorsal D-ring of
the harness.
6. It is essential for operator safety that the device or
anchor point is correctly positioned and that work is
carried out so as to minimize the risk of falls.
7. For operator safety, the dealer must supply
the following if the product is resold instruction
manual and maintenance instructions for periodic
inspections and repairs, all drafted in the language
of the country of use of the product.
8. This system is rated for a maximum of 3 users
weighing a maximum of 150kg (330lbs) each
including all equipment and accessories.
9. In addition to fall protection equipment, it is essential
for the safety of the operator and supervisor that
they use personal protective equipment such as
helmets, safety glasses, gloves, and safety shoes
when handling and using this product.
10. The product may only be used with the associated
equipment described in this manual (see chapter 7.
Associated equipment).
11. This product may only be used in the presence of at
least two operators.
12. Do not use more than two associated pieces of
equipment on the product at the same time.
13. Follow the combinations of associated equipment
permitted in this manual.
