protection anchor point for three operators of maximum
330lbs (150kg) in accordance with ANSI Z359.18-2017
and CSA Z259.15-17, it may be fitted with
• fall arrest systems,
• rescue lifting devices,
• rope-suspended working devices.
In such a configuration, it may not be used
simultaneously as an anchor point for lifting equipment.
In this configuration, when the anchoring head (ref. A,
fig. 2) of the jib crane is in position P1 (fig. 1) and its
PPE anchor point is subjected to the maximum force
in the event of a fall, the maximum displacement, or
deflection, of the anchor point is 0.6 in. (15 mm).
OR
The Davitrac™+ jib crane may be used as a lifting
anchor point; only one operator can connect to one of
the anchor points on the articulation plate (ref. I2, fig 2)
Davitrac™+ allows access to narrow spaces, wells,
silos, sewers, etc.
It is made of aluminium and is lightweight (73 lbs /
33 kg) for ease of transport.
The height of the boom is always the same regardless
of the position of the anchoring head on the boom
(6.3 ft / 1921 mm).
The height of the anchoring head may vary depending
on its position on the boom (3 positions see table 1 on
page 3).

4.2.2. Self-stabilising base

When used in combination with the Davitrac self-
stabilising base, the Davitrac™+ jib crane may be used
as a temporary fall protection anchor point for three
operators of maximum 330lbs (150 kg) in accordance
with ANSI Z359.18-2017 and CSA Z259.15-17; this
assembly is PPE and may be fitted with:
• fall arrest systems,
• rescue lifting devices,
• rope-suspended working devices.
In such a configuration, it may not be used
simultaneously as an anchor point for lifting equipment.
In this configuration, when the anchoring head (ref. A,
fig. 2) of the jib crane is in position P1 (fig. 1) and its
PPE anchor point is subjected to the maximum force
in the event of a fall, the maximum displacement, or
deflection, of the anchor point is 2.4 in. (60 mm).
OR
The Davitrac™+ jib crane may be used as a lifting
anchor point; in such a configuration, only one operator
can connect to one of the anchor points on the
articulation plate (ref. I2, fig 2).
This self-supporting assembly may be used in narrow
spaces with no bearing structure. The self-stabilising
base is made of aluminium and steel for a total weight
of 116.8 lbs (53 kg) divided into 3 subassemblies. The
self-stabilising base is width-adjustable, with 2 positions
(Table 1).

WARNING
Davitrac™+ is to be used either as a material hoist or
for fall arrest and rescue solutions only. Do not use
for both material handling and man rated application
at the same time.

4.3. Recommendations for use

WARNING
Davitrac™+ has 4 anchor points. Each of these
anchor points is identified by a label that mentions its
only possible and permitted use: it is crucial to follow
the instructions on such labels.
WARNING
Davitrac™+ has two pulleys on the anchoring head,
one of which is for use with PPE and the other is
intended for lifting applications.
